Empowering Farming Communities through the Farmer Field Business School (FFBS) Training Workshop

This week, CARE Zambia is privileged to host the Farmer Field Business School (FFBS) Training of Trainers workshop in Choma. The workshop has brought together different stakeholders including ministry of agriculture, ministry of fisheries, and ministry of green economy and environment to delve deep into the importance of holistic, sustainable farming practices.

CARE Zambia Director of Programs, Henry Loongo set the tone with insightful opening remarks, highlighting that while conservation farming techniques like minimum tillage and crop rotation are crucial, true progress requires a broader approach. The FFBS model exemplifies this, integrating not only sustainable farming practices but also addressing key issues like market access and gender norms.

This workshop is an opportunity for equipping the participants with the tools and knowledge to scale and deepen the FFBS approach, ensuring that all efforts are inclusive, transformative, and impactful.
